Star Guardian

• Star Guardian is a popular alternative universe in the video game League of Legends. Our team was responsible with creating an Event Teaser, Event Trailer, and a graphics toolkit for Riot Games' Star Guardian 2022 release.

  • The Event Teaser is a visual exploration into the universe using both 2D and 3D elements in the form of mixed media.

  • The Event Trailer is a social-media inspired v-log by the characters featured in Star Guardian, which also implements game footage found in League of Legends.

• Using Star Guardian’s brand guideline and design language, I was tasked with select shots in the Event Teaser and Event Trailer, as well as creating the main logo animation, end card, transitions, and other elements. Each element was configured for multiple aspect ratios (16x9, 1x1, 9x16) to publish on social media platforms.

• The logo animation was also localized to 3 different languages (English, Japanese, and Mandarin). The English logo animation was used to match cut with the last shot in Star Guardian - Return to Valoran City (below).

• Work was done in After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
